Many Ukrainian hospitals continue to face the problem of ageing lift equipment that has reached or is approaching the end of its service life. A significant number of lifts installed during the Soviet period are either already out of service or require replacement. This can lead to breakdowns, long periods of downtime and serious inconvenience for patients and medical staff. The problem is particularly important for people with reduced mobility, for whom the absence of a working lift can make access to healthcare considerably more difficult. Modernisation of lift equipment has therefore become an important part of refurbishment projects in medical facilities.<\/p>\n

Euroformat, one of Ukraine\u2019s largest lift manufacturers<\/a>, has developed a solution for these applications. The factory has introduced modern hospital lifts designed to replace outdated lifting equipment in healthcare facilities.<\/p>\n

Specialised solutions for hospitals<\/h2>\n

Euroformat\u2019s engineering team developed a hospital lift<\/a> adapted to the dimensions of shafts commonly found in older medical buildings. Shafts measuring 1,950 by 2,700 mm can create challenges when installing modern equipment because of their non-standard dimensions. Euroformat adapted the lift design to these conditions, allowing replacement to be carried out without major reconstruction of the building. This helps reduce the amount of structural work required and simplifies the modernisation process.<\/p>\n

The new hospital lifts also differ from older models in their door design. Instead of manually operated swing doors, they use automatic doors. This improves ease of use and provides quicker access to the lift cabin, which is particularly important in healthcare environments when transporting patients and medical equipment.<\/p>\n
