Queues during peak periods

Passenger traffic in residential buildings can vary significantly throughout the day. Peak demand typically occurs in the morning and evening, when residents leave the building or return home in large numbers. When selecting a lift, we take into account the number of floors and residents, traffic intensity and peak usage scenarios.

No step-free route

The lift should form part of a continuous route from the entrance to the main functional areas of the building. We check access to the lift lobby, lift car dimensions, door opening width, manoeuvring space and ease of use of the controls.

Insufficient lift car dimensions

The lift car should be convenient for wheelchair users, accompanying persons, parents with pushchairs and staff carrying equipment. Selection should consider not only rated capacity but also the usable lift car dimensions, door width and entry direction.

Intensive daily use

In residential buildings, lifts operate under regular, repetitive loads throughout the day. The configuration is selected based on the building height, number of residents and stops, as well as the expected frequency of trips.

Rapid wear of lift car finishes

High visitor numbers increase wear on the walls, floor, doors and control panel. Practical materials, durable flooring and protective elements for high-contact areas are selected for the lift car.

Noise in adjacent rooms

The shaft may be located next to offices, halls, libraries, exhibition spaces or other rooms where acoustic comfort is important. During design, the equipment position, building structure and need for additional noise and vibration reduction measures are assessed.

Difficult integration into an existing building

During refurbishment, the shaft, pit, headroom or door opening dimensions may restrict equipment selection. A standard solution is adapted after measurements have been taken and the building works and project documentation have been reviewed.

Design coordination errors

The configuration is determined according to the building’s purpose, number of users, floors and stops. Peak demand periods and the locations of main halls, administrative rooms and other heavily visited areas are analysed separately.

Step-free lift car

The lift car and door opening dimensions are coordinated with the needs of people with reduced mobility. The review covers convenient wheelchair entry, control panel accessibility, space for an accompanying person and floor-levelling accuracy.

Smooth and quiet travel

Smooth acceleration, comfortable braking and accurate floor levelling improve user convenience. Noise and vibration levels are considered according to the shaft location and the purpose of adjacent rooms.

Practical lift car specification

The lift car may include handrails, a mirror, adequate lighting, an intuitive control panel, and visual and audible indicators. Materials are selected according to intensity of use, regular cleaning requirements and the design of the public space.

Adaptation to new and refurbished properties

Standard solutions can be adapted to different architectural scenarios and shaft parameters. For existing buildings, the actual dimensions, door openings, pit, headroom and available connections to engineering services are checked separately.
