Euroformat supports athletes at the 14th Ukrainian Builders’ Football Cup
On 21 and 22 April 2018, Kyiv hosted the 14th Ukrainian Builders’ Football Cup, one of the largest tournaments of its kind. A total of 24 teams took part, including 9 regional Ukrainian teams as well as teams from Belarus and Georgia. The event was held at the City of Sport complex in Hydropark. The Euroformat Group was a regular partner of the tournament.
The scale and significance of the tournament
The Ukrainian Builders’ Football Cup is not only a sporting event but also an important platform for bringing together representatives of the construction industry. In 2018, the tournament attracted a record 24 teams from different regions of Ukraine and neighbouring countries. The City of Sport complex in Hydropark provided suitable facilities for both the competition and professional networking. As one of Ukraine’s major lift manufacturers, Euroformat supported the tournament and demonstrated its commitment to the construction community and sporting initiatives.
The participation of teams from Belarus and Georgia gave the event an international dimension, while regional teams highlighted the active involvement of professionals from across Ukraine’s construction sector. The tournament also created opportunities for networking, exchanging experience and strengthening team spirit.
Euroformat’s contribution to supporting sport
Euroformat, a manufacturer and supplier of lift equipment, played an active role in the event by supporting the tournament and participating in the awards ceremony. The best players were recognised across six categories. Winners received sports watches from Euroformat as commemorative prizes.
The Euroformat factory manufactures passenger, goods and hospital lifts with a focus on safety and energy-efficiency requirements. Supporting events such as the Builders’ Cup allows the company to contribute to the professional community and strengthen relationships within the construction sector.
The main prize and future opportunities
One of the main outcomes of the 14th Ukrainian Builders’ Football Cup was the award of two places at the European Builders’ Championship scheduled for May 2019. The places went to the Agromat and Carrot teams, which delivered strong performances and earned the right to represent Ukraine at the international tournament. Two additional Ukrainian participants were expected to be selected in autumn 2018.
For the teams, participation in the European championship provided additional motivation to continue developing their skills and aiming for further sporting achievements. Euroformat expressed its intention to continue supporting similar initiatives and members of the construction community.
The future of the Builders’ Cup and Euroformat’s role
The 14th Ukrainian Builders’ Football Cup demonstrated how sport can bring together professionals from the same industry and create additional opportunities for communication and cooperation.
