Euroformat launches production of IP65 enclosures

In July 2018, Euroformat took an important step in expanding its manufacturing range by launching a new line of cabinets with an increased level of protection in accordance with the international IP65 rating. This level of protection helps safeguard electrical equipment against external influences, making the products suitable for demanding operating environments. The new line enabled Euroformat to expand its range of protective enclosures for different industrial applications.

What is IP65 and why is it important?

The IP65 rating, defined by the international IEC 60529 standard, provides complete protection against dust ingress and protection against water jets. The enclosure seal can be achieved using a polyurethane gasket, helping protect the equipment installed inside from external influences.

IP65 cabinets are suitable for environments where equipment may be exposed to:

  • High levels of dust at industrial facilities, including construction and mining sites.
  • Weather conditions such as rain, snow and increased humidity, making the enclosures suitable for outdoor installation.
  • Demanding industrial environments where electrical or telecommunications equipment requires additional protection.

Thanks to these characteristics, protective enclosures from Ukrainian lift manufacturer Euroformat can be used in telecommunications systems as well as in various industrial installations.

Production technology: a modern approach

IP65 cabinets at the Euroformat factory are manufactured using modern equipment and automated production processes. One of the key stages involves applying a polyurethane seal with specialised machinery. This technology enables a consistent sealing profile to be formed around the enclosure, helping achieve the required level of protection.

The production line was developed with accuracy and manufacturing consistency in mind. Euroformat invested in equipment upgrades to support serial production of protective enclosures. Key stages – from design to final inspection – are subject to quality control in accordance with applicable technical requirements.
