Euroformat representatives visit the Leroy-Somer factory in France
The Ukrainian lift equipment market has been showing growing interest in modern and technologically advanced solutions. Gearless lifts are attracting particular attention due to their energy efficiency, low noise levels and comfortable operation. Euroformat, one of Ukraine’s leading lift equipment manufacturers, has been actively introducing these technologies into its products. In 2016, the company continued developing cooperation with French manufacturer Leroy-Somer, a European supplier of electric motors and gearless lift machines. One of the results was the introduction of the new E-27 model into Euroformat’s gearless lift range.
Advantages of gearless lifts: why they are becoming more popular
Passenger lifts with gearless machines have become increasingly common thanks to several operational advantages. Compared with traditional geared systems, they can use available space more efficiently and simplify certain aspects of maintenance.

Visit to Leroy-Somer: developing the partnership
In autumn 2016, Euroformat representatives visited the Leroy-Somer factory in France, where electric motors and gearless lift machines are manufactured. The purpose of the trip was to learn more about the company’s latest developments and discuss further cooperation on integrating these technologies into Euroformat products.
One of the key parts of the visit was the presentation of the new E-27 gearless machine. The model was developed with energy efficiency and compact dimensions in mind, making it suitable for modern lift systems.
Euroformat representatives also toured the Leroy-Somer production facility. The delegation saw the main stages of component manufacturing and learned about the quality control processes applied to finished products.
Following the discussions, the companies agreed on supplies of the E-27 model for use in Euroformat lifts and on continuing their cooperation. This became an important step in developing the partnership and expanding the use of modern gearless technology in the Ukrainian manufacturer’s products.
