Euroformat participates in the modernisation of Poland’s railway infrastructure
Euroformat, one of Ukraine’s leading lift equipment manufacturers, signed a contract with Polish company Trakcja Prkii S.A., the general contractor for a large-scale programme to modernise Poland’s railway infrastructure. The agreement became an important step for Euroformat, demonstrating its ability to participate in international infrastructure projects and supply lift equipment in line with European requirements. The contract also created further opportunities for exports and cooperation in the Polish market.
The value of the contract: cooperation with a key partner
The contract with Trakcja Prkii S.A. is strategically important for Euroformat for several reasons. According to Oleksii Kramarenko, Head of the Commercial Department, the project gives the company an opportunity to present its products in the European market and assess their performance under demanding operating conditions. The lifts will not be installed exclusively indoors, allowing the equipment to be tested in practice for durability and reliability in exposed environments.
A key feature of the project is that the lifts will operate at railway stations, where they may be exposed to rain, snow, temperature fluctuations and increased humidity. This gives the Euroformat lift factory an opportunity to demonstrate the operating characteristics of its equipment under real conditions. Projects of this kind also help assess the reliability of components and technical solutions used in the lifts.
First deliveries and expansion prospects
During the initial stage of the contract, Euroformat began supplying lift equipment to several railway stations on the E30 route between Zabrze, Katowice and Kraków. This section forms an important part of Poland’s railway network and carries substantial passenger and freight traffic. Successful completion of the first deliveries creates opportunities to expand cooperation, potentially including further stations along the E30 route as well as the E20 line between Warsaw and Poznań.
Euroformat lift equipment is adapted to the specific requirements of railway infrastructure. Its components and technical solutions are designed for operation in environments exposed to external conditions while meeting applicable safety requirements. Reliable operation, accessibility and passenger safety are particularly important for railway facilities.
Poland as a key export market
Poland has become one of Euroformat’s main export markets, and the contract with Trakcja Prkii S.A. has strengthened the company’s presence there. To coordinate its activities in Poland, Euroformat established an official representative office responsible for deliveries, customer relations and new projects. This allows the company to respond more efficiently to market requirements and adapt its lift equipment to local conditions.
In addition to the Trakcja Prkii S.A. contract, Euroformat is working on several pilot projects in different regions of Poland. These involve the installation of Ukrainian-made lift equipment at various infrastructure facilities. Successful implementation of these projects creates further opportunities for the company to expand its presence in the European market.
Modernising production for export
To meet growing demand for lift equipment in Poland and other countries, Euroformat is investing in the expansion of its manufacturing capacity. New production lines are being developed in part to support export orders. These investments include equipment upgrades and the introduction of modern manufacturing technologies, helping improve production consistency and optimise processes. At the same time, the factory continues adapting its operations to the requirements of the European market.
