Elevators for people with impaired mobility

In 2006, the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which provides for a barrier-free environment for people with disabilities. In Ukraine, the State Building Code for this population category has been established (SBC B.2.2-17:2006 Access to Buildings and Structures for People with Impaired Mobility), which all representatives of the construction industry, including manufacturers of elevator equipment, should adhere to. But it is not always possible to establish a full-fledged elevator for people with impaired mobility for various reasons, for example, because of the architectural features of the building.

The most convenient and simple solution is a screw elevator for people with disabilities, which has a number of advantages and high operating performance.

Features

  • A minimum space they occupy due to the compact design, which makes it possible to use them in public places (e.g. in underpasses), medical institutions
  • A convenient control system that allows moving without external assistance
  • Adaptation for architectural features of the building
  • A possibility of installation both outside and indoors
  • They are relevant not only for people with disabilities but also for the elderly people
