Ukraine’s only lift testing tower launched

The modern Euroformat lift manufacturing facility is home to Ukraine’s first and only 40-metre lift testing tower. This unique infrastructure represents an important achievement for both the company and Ukraine’s lift industry, creating new opportunities for the development of reliable, safe and technologically advanced lifts. The tower enables comprehensive testing of new developments, evaluation of innovative components and improvement of lift performance characteristics in line with high quality and safety requirements.

The importance of the testing tower for Euroformat

The lift testing tower is an important technological facility for Euroformat. Its construction was a strategic step aimed at improving product quality and competitiveness in both Ukrainian and international markets. With this infrastructure, the factory can carry out comprehensive testing of new lift equipment models under conditions designed to reflect real operation as closely as possible, helping shorten the path from development to implementation.

At 40 metres high, the tower makes it possible to simulate different lift operating scenarios, including use in multi-storey buildings with demanding safety and comfort requirements. This allows Euroformat engineers to test new designs, assess reliability and durability, and evaluate the performance of different components and systems, including control systems, drives, lift cabins and safety mechanisms. This approach supports the development of lifts that meet current market requirements and customer needs.

Testing tower capabilities

The Euroformat lift testing tower is not only a unique infrastructure facility but also an important base for research, development and improvement of lift equipment.

Its main capabilities and advantages include:

  • Testing new developments. The tower enables testing of new passenger and goods lift models developed by the company’s technical specialists. This allows performance, energy efficiency and passenger comfort to be assessed before the equipment enters serial production.
  • Component testing. Engineers can evaluate different components, including suspension ropes, safety systems, electric motors and electronic modules, together with existing lift designs. This helps optimise equipment performance and improve reliability.
  • Simulation of real operating conditions. The tower allows different loads and operating modes to be recreated under conditions close to real use. This helps assess equipment safety and stability across a range of operating scenarios.
  • Shorter development cycles. In-house testing helps accelerate the development and refinement of new models, allowing the company to respond more quickly to market requirements.
  • Improved safety. Lift components and systems undergo thorough testing against applicable safety requirements, supporting one of the company’s key priorities – passenger safety.

Euroformat’s innovative approach to lift manufacturing

Euroformat consistently develops modern technologies and places strong emphasis on product quality. The construction of the testing tower was a natural continuation of this strategy. The factory invests in advanced manufacturing technologies, engineering solutions and materials used in lift production. The tower has become an important part of this process, allowing Euroformat not only to improve existing models but also to develop new solutions for different types of buildings – from multi-storey residential properties to commercial and industrial facilities.

Euroformat lifts combine contemporary design, energy efficiency and a high level of comfort. They are equipped with modern safety systems, while the testing tower allows the company to thoroughly evaluate new models and technical solutions before further implementation.
