First Euroformat elevator passes EN 81-20 certification

In end-2017, Euroformat’s EFR machine room-less elevators successfully passed module G conformity assessment in Poland and were awarded Certificate No. 1106/30/17/ZT/AO/L to confirm their compliance with the European standards (i.e. Directive 014/33/ЕС, EN 81-20, EN 81-50). The conformity assessment was carried out by the Notified Body No. 1353 of TÜV SÜD.

It was Euroformat’s first elevator to be certified per the new legislative requirements in accordance with EN 81-20. The new Technical Regulations for Elevators and Elevator Safety Components have come into force in Ukraine in January 2018.

The newly certified elevator is installed at Włoszczowa Północ railway station and is the first of the batch to be supplied to Trakcja PRKiI S.A. under the contract signed in October 2017. Several more Euroformat elevators at railway stations of the Polish railway have been slated for certification in near future, giving invaluable experience to the producer’s professionals for transitioning to new standards (DSTU EN 81-20) in Ukraine as well.
